HIGH SPEED BALANCING TUNNEL

 

For the smooth running of the rotor, the latest market requirement is balancing the rotor at rotating speed. To cater to the needs of the customers M/S. APT Power Engineering (P) Ltd, have established a High-Speed Balancing facility. Our HSBT is one of its kind in India with computer-aided balancing. It can accommodate complex rotors up to 50 Tons with balancing speed up to 16000 rpm of various power and process plant customers and OEMs as per API 612, API 617 & ISO 1940 standards. Racing against the clock, APT staff delivered the rotors on times.APT performs rotating speed balancing of rotor and High Speed balancing of rotor.

Achievements

Outages and Running Maintenance Services for the various Power Plants

" APT Power Engineering has successfully tendered and was awarded with the esteemed Contract for Provision of Services for Outages and Running Maintenance Services for the various Power Plants by M/s ESKOM Rotek Industries SOC Ltd., South Africa. The Contract is for one year and is presently under execution. The services are provided at various power plants such as Hendrina Power Station (200MW), Arnot Power Station (400MW), Kriel Power Station (550MW), Kusile Power Station (860MW), Matimba Power Station (600MW), Matla Power Station (600MW), Medupi Power Station (860MW), Tutuka Power Station (600MW)"

100 Rotors and counting……

APT's High Speed Balancing Tunnel balances Turbine rotors, Generator rotors, Compressor rotors, Gas Expanders, ID fans etc. APT has successfully balanced 100 rotors in our High Speed Balancing Machine Model HR- 25 K (B). The rotors so far balanced in our High Speed Balancing Tunnel range from 5 MW to 150 MW. Weight of the rotor ranging from 0.5 tons to 50 tons.

Annual Health Check……

To function at peak performance an annual organizational Health Check must be carried out. We at APT organize a yearly Health Checkup for the better life of our employees. This Annual Health Check will identify the Organization's strengths, weaknesses and talents. Our recent Health Checkup at APT was conducted on 26.11.2019. test
